Rice Psychology Group offers psychotherapy (including behavior therapy, cognitive therapy and individual therapy) as well as mental health support and counseling for children, adolescents, adults and seniors in a warm and relaxed environment where our clients can feel comfortable and welcome. Our Team of highly educated and qualified therapists and psychologists pride themselves on being authentic, down-to-earth people who offer realistic, pragmatic and nonjudgmental therapy and counseling services.
When working with children and teens specifically, we believe that the family is a critical part of the process. Understanding the home, school and social environment is often critical in providing effective therapy. So when needed and with permission, Rice Psychology Group’s therapists will work closely with parents, siblings, teachers, school psychologists, doctors and others who play a role in the child’s life in order to best address the needs of the child.
Our team of therapists and psychologists has a variety of treatment tools in our toolbox, and we use them as stand-alone therapeutic approaches or in combination as needed. We rely primarily on the following therapeutic models:
- Psychodynamic
- Cognitive-behavioral
- Behavior management/modification
- Family
- Play and art
- New Groups for 2013
